The photo for the Rold Skov poster was taken early in the morning in the beautiful early summer. It is truly magical to list around the forest so early in the day and hear the many birds singing. Rold Skov is located in the central Himmerland between Arden and Skørping. It is Denmark's second largest contiguous forest complex.
Rold Skov is very hilly, which provides good conditions for springs and lakes. If you are interested with the image it may be you need to look at the calendar from the Danish Society for Nature Conservation has used the image of May month.
