Which posters fit best above the sofa?

A simple rule of thumb is that the poster (or picture wall) should take up about 2/3 of the width of the sofa. This will give you a look that is naturally cohesive - without the wall feeling empty or cramped.
Choose size based on the width of the sofa
If you have a smaller sofa or a narrow wall, a 50x70 poster will often be the most harmonious choice. If you have a larger sofa, good ceiling height or more air on the wall, 70x100 will typically provide the calm and weight that the area above the sofa calls for.
It's not "biggest is best". The right thing is about proportions and distance. If you're sitting close to the sofa, a motif that's too large can feel dominant. If you're sitting further away, a larger poster can provide the overview that makes the room feel more unified.
