Our History
Foto Factory was founded in 2010 in Copenhagen by Maria Rosendal and Martin Bay . The two nature photographers share a deep fascination with nature’s changing landscapes. Our journey began in Scotland, where the raw and dramatic surroundings awakened our passion for nature photography. This was followed by many years of travel in Scotland, the English Isles and Denmark, where we explored the rocky coasts of Bornholm, the isolated island of Anholt and the wild west coast with its endless sandy beaches and dunes. In 2023 we moved to Klitmøller in Thy National Park – a place that is now our home and source of inspiration.

Behind the scenes in Thy National Park
Every day we start in nature, where the light and weather largely determine the day's program. Thy is characterized by its raw landscape, where dunes, heaths and coastlines meet the North Sea. This is where we explore nature daily and capture its many facets through our photographs. We have chosen to settle here to be closer to nature and live in harmony with the surroundings that inspire us.
Values and vision
We create photographic art with a focus on authenticity, high quality and sustainability. Our goal is to bring the beauty of nature closer to you while creating products that last a long time – visually as well as environmentally. We use exclusive materials and modern printing technology to ensure that each image retains its details and nuances for many years.
The places we photograph often carry natural history stories. For example, Anholt is known as one of the most isolated Danish islands with a unique landscape and wildlife. Bornholm's rocky coasts have a raw and dramatic beauty that recalls the primal power of nature, while Denmark's west coast fascinates with its eternal horizons and wild coastlines.
