My love for nature

I am Martin Bay, a Danish nature photographer with a deep fascination for the wild, untouched landscapes found in our own backyard. From the raw dune landscapes and dense forests of Thy National Park to the quiet lakes and open meadows, I try to capture Denmark's natural beauty with my camera.

Nature in Thy

Thy has a very special place in my heart. Here, where the dunes meet the sea, and where the wind shapes the landscape, I find an eternal source of inspiration. I spend countless hours in the national park, searching for the perfect light and the moments where nature shows its most authentic side. For me, it's about creating images that invite you to experience the tranquility and raw beauty that can only be found here.

My Photography Philosophy

I believe that the most meaningful images are created when you take the time to get to know a place – to feel the wind, hear the birds, and feel the energy of the landscape. My photographs are not just images, but stories about the soul of nature, from the magnificent to the intimate. I seek to capture the moments when nature reveals its beauty in the simple and the wild.

My journey in nature

Nature has always been my refuge and my greatest inspiration. As a child, I spent many hours in the Danish forests and by the coasts, where I learned to appreciate the small details and the big views. This fascination has driven me to explore even more, and today it is my passion to share this love of nature with others through my photographs.

Aerial photography

I also use the drone as a natural part of my work, where I seek new perspectives and lines in the landscape. With drone photography I get the opportunity to show nature's patterns and shapes from above - often with a more graphic and minimalist expression.
