Poster of the island Nólsoy in the Faroe Islands. A stiff wind is blowing and the island of Nólsoy is covered with dark clouds. On the island, inhabitants live in accordance with the whims of the weather, and when the storm reigns, the ferry doesn’t sail. The small community on the island is a beautiful example of how to adapt to the climate. The cosy café, Visit Nólsoy, is a good example of how great things can happen in the remotest places.
The photograph is part of Foto Factory’s Föroyar series that focuses on the dramatic, poetic and to many unknown nature.
