The blue-green grasses are robust and strong, so they can withstand wind and salt. Their long roots help to keep the sand in place and protect the dunes when the weather shows its teeth. In the sea near the coast, you can experience larger animals such as seals, seabirds, and even porpoises. On the beach, it is often easy to find mussel shells, and further out in the shallow water, snails and living mussels hide in the sand. There are, of course, also jellyfish such as moon jellyfish and lion's mane jellyfish. You may also be lucky enough to see fish. Often, these are small flatfish that flee when we approach them, and you see a dark shadow disappearing over the sandy bottom.

Where can you find fishing boats along the West Coast? Along the West Coast of Denmark, there are several beaches where you can see fishing boats and cutters on the beach. These beaches include:

Although fishing is not as prominent as in some of the previously mentioned places, you can still experience fishing life and see local fishermen on the beach.

Although fishing boats and cutters are not as common as in traditional fishing villages, you can sometimes see smaller fishing boats and cutters on Løkken Beach.
