Dune

Dune poster with a photograph from an early morning in Skagen dune plantation. We went out early to photograph the beautiful nature area around Stokmilen south of Skagen City. It is a large dune area and you can easily feel you disappear between the large dunes.

The photo for the dune poster was taken just as the sun casts its warm light over the area. The sun starts to color the sky when we are ready and get the first pictures in the camera.

Although it is nice to walk along the water on the other side of the dunes, there is a marvelous landscape on the other side. It is a young landscape consisting of wind-created dunes that form an almost unbroken fringe along the West Coast.

After a beautiful sunrise, there is peace and balance in the body that enjoys the clean air and silence. The walk goes past the sandy church and back through the low dune forest with small crooked trees. The trip ends when we are back at the parking lot at the end of Damsted road.
