The Grenen poster of the sea at Denmark's northernmost point. At Grenen, the Skagerak meets to the west and the Kattegat to the east. It is an encounter with different water, waves and currents. At the far end of Grenen, seals lie and rest while the sun disappears on the horizon. There is the most amazing light and the elements form a graphic composition of sea buckthorn and mare straw with the branch in the background.
It is amazing to stand high on the dunes and gaze out over the sea and enjoy the view and the trekking following. Further in are groups of ornithologists with telescopes and notepads. We are busy photographing while the light slowly disappears. We think back to an autumn several years ago where we were also at Grenen to immortalize the light for a Skagen poster.
