Skagens Strand poster of the sea at Denmark's northernmost point. At Skagen beach, the Skagerak meets to the west and the Kattegat to the east. It is an encounter with different water, waves and currents. There is the most amazing light and the elements form a simple composition of the sand and the sea.

Together with the beach, the light creates a simple and balanced composition with the sand and the calm sea. It is easy to think of Krøyer's painting Sommeraften which is from such a beautiful evening on the coast of Skagen.
