Skagens Odde poster of the sea at Denmark's northernmost point, Grenen. At Grenen, the Skagerak meets to the west and the Kattegat to the east. It is an encounter with different water, waves and currents. At the far end of Grenen, seals lie and rest while the sun disappears on the horizon. There is the most amazing light and the elements form a simple composition of the sand and the sea.
It is great to stand high on the dunes and look out over the sea and enjoy the view and the migrating birds. Further in are groups of ornithologists with telescopes and notepads. We are busy photographing while the light slowly disappears. We think back to an autumn several years ago where we were also at Grenen to immortalize the light for a Skagen poster.
