Damsted Dune poster

Damsted Klit poster, capturing the beautiful nature at Damsted Klit on an early morning in late May. This large dune area on the Kattegat coast southwest of Skagen is a perfect place to experience the wild, Danish nature. We are standing on one of the large dunes near Stokmilen, with a view of Skagen's Dune Plantation, which extends inland. The sun is starting to color the sky, and we are ready to capture the first pictures of this enchanting morning atmosphere.

After a fantastic sunrise, it's time to explore the area. We walk through the dunes, past the sandy church, and further into the low dune forest, where small, crooked trees stand like nature's own sculptures. The trip ends back at the parking lot at the end of Damsted Road, but the experience of this morning lingers.
